Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Welder to fabricate high-quality products using MIG welding according to blueprints and customer specifications. The role emphasizes producing precise welds, inspecting finished work, and maintaining a safe manufacturing environment.

You will work closely with production teams to meet quality and performance standards, following all safety procedures and company policies while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; ability to read, write, and perform math at a high school level.
• Experience performing MIG welding in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply welding symbols and blueprint requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively within a team environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during a work shift.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Adjust welding equipment settings based on material type to produce quality welds.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to set up and weld components using fixtures and tooling.
• Perform MIG welding on a variety of production parts and assemblies.
• Operate hand grinders and other finishing tools as required.
• Conduct ongoing visual inspections of workpieces and fixturing for quality and appearance.
