Qualifications

• Reads, interprets blueprints to determine welding processes.
• Basic math related to welding tasks.
• Must demonstrate ability to pass weld certification within 6 months and recertify every 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding processes.
• Plan details of work orders including gathering the required tools and materials.
• Prepare, assemble and tack weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
• Repair and fabricate items using cutting, burning, and welding techniques meeting production standards.
• Monitor welding, cutting and fitting to prevent overheating, distortion, or warping.
• Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and work area.
• Notify supervisor of faulty equipment or defective materials.
• Ensure guards and safety equipment are installed and checked.
• Follow ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHA 18001 requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned
