Machitech in Kentucky is seeking a Welder to read and interpret blueprints, prepare and assemble parts, select and adjust welding equipment, and perform high-quality welds in a manufacturing setting.

The role includes inspecting weld quality, correcting defects, performing finishing work, adhering to health and safety standards, maintaining a clean work environment, and supporting production activities.

Qualifications

• Training and/or experience in welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand assembly sequences.
• Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Comfortable wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and welding instructions.
• Verify dimensions and compliance of parts before assembly and welding.
• Clean and polish parts to be welded as required.
• Plan the assembly sequence of components.
• Fit, assemble, and secure structures using bolts, clamps, tack welds, or other methods.
• Select and set up welding equipment and gas systems.
• Weld, brush, grind, and polish excess weld material.
• Inspect weld quality and penetration and perform corrective actions when necessary.
• Follow all occupational health and safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.
