Morgan Truck Body is seeking a Welder for 1st shift in Plainfield, CT. You will operate welding equipment to fuse aluminum, steel, and galvanneal components that form truck bodies, ensuring they are strong, durable, and road-ready.

The role offers a 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with potential overtime and a starting pay of $27.00 per hour. You’ll be tested on weld proficiency and encouraged to grow your skills with on-the-job training and safety best practices.

Formación

• Must successfully pass a weld test to demonstrate skill and quality
• Proficient in welding mild steel and galvanneal materials
• Minimum of 6 months welding experience or completion of welding school training
• Solid grasp of basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills essential for precision
• Basic experience with hand tools to support welding tasks
• Able to accurately understand and apply measurements on the job
• Competent in reading and interpreting blueprints for specialized welding applications
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED required
• Must be 18 years or older

Responsabilidades

• Read and interpret blueprints to weld metals with precision
• Operate heavy equipment like saws to prepare materials
• Set up machines and perform preventative maintenance
• Inspect each weld for defects to ensure top-tier quality
• Learn and apply multiple welding methods and earn relevant certifications
• Lead safety and quality checks to guarantee flawless results
