Job summary

Morgan Truck Body in Morgantown, PA is seeking a Welder for 2nd shift to join our robust welding team. Earn $25.00 per hour plus a $2.50 shift differential, with on-demand pay available.

You will weld aluminum, steel, and galvanneal components, inspecting and certifying work that contributes to strong, durable truck bodies. The role requires at least 6 months welding experience or welding-school training, with a weld test to demonstrate proficiency, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must successfully pass a weld test to demonstrate skill and quality.
• Proficient in welding mild steel and galvanneal materials.
• Minimum of 6 months welding experience or completion of welding school training.
• Solid grasp of basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills essential for precision.
• Basic experience with hand tools to support welding tasks.
• Able to accurately understand and apply measurements on the job.
• Competent in reading and interpreting blueprints for specialized welding applications.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to weld metals with precision-delivery as required by customers and the company.
• Operate heavy equipment like saws to prepare materials and power the build process safely.
• Own machine setup and preventative maintenance to keep production running smoothly.
• Inspect every weld for defects to meet top-tier quality standards.
• Learn and apply multiple welding methods and earn certifications that distinguish you as a pro.
• Lead safety and quality checks to guarantee flawless results.
• Follow safety policies to protect yourself and the team.
