Job summary

Morgan Truck Body in Janesville, WI is seeking a Welder for 1st shift to fuse aluminum, steel, and galvanneal components that form our truck bodies. You will read blueprints, ensure high-quality welds, and contribute to durable fleets ready for the road.

The role offers new pay rates: $26.00–$29.90 per hour with a $4,000 bonus, on-demand pay, and a comprehensive benefits package. We support growth and promote from within, with safety and craftsmanship at the core.

Qualifications

• Must successfully pass a weld test to demonstrate skill and quality.
• Proficient in welding mild steel and galvanneal materials.
• Minimum of 6 months welding experience or completion of welding school training.
• Solid grasp of basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills essential for precision.
• Basic experience with hand tools to support welding tasks.
• Able to accurately understand and apply measurements on the job.
• Competent in reading and interpreting blueprints for specialized welding applications.
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to weld metals with precision.
• Operate heavy equipment like saws to prepare materials for welding.
• Set up machines and perform preventative maintenance to keep production running.
• Inspect each weld for defects ensuring top-tier quality.
• Learn and apply multiple welding methods and pursue certifications.
• Lead safety and quality checks to guarantee flawless results.
