Job summary

Morgan Truck Body is hiring a Welder for 1st shift in Janesville, WI. Earn $26.00–$29.90 per hour with new pay rates and on-demand pay options. You will weld aluminum, steel and galvanneal components for truck bodies, ensuring durable results.

Qualifications

• Must successfully pass a weld test to demonstrate skill and quality
• Proficient in welding mild steel and galvanneal materials
• Minimum of 6 months welding experience or welding school training
• Solid grasp of basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills essential for precision
• Basic experience with hand tools to support welding tasks
• Able to accurately understand and apply measurements on the job
• Competent in reading and interpreting blueprints for specialized welding applications
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED required
• Must be 18 years or older

Responsibilities

• Blueprint interpretation to weld metals with precision delivering customer and company expectations
• Operate heavy equipment like saws to prepare materials for the build
• Set up machines and perform preventative maintenance to keep production running smoothly
• Inspect welds for defects to ensure top-tier quality
• Learn and apply multiple welding methods and earn certifications
• Follow safety and quality policies and checks to guarantee flawless results
• Adhere to safety policies to protect yourself and your team
