Job summary

Olympic Steel is seeking a Welder/Fabricator in Mount Sterling, KY to set up and weld parts per blueprints and schematics. The role includes assisting with assembly and warehouse duties while contributing to safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.

The ideal candidate has MIG welding experience, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints, with basic math for measurements. This is a hands-on role in a safety-conscious manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Job Description

The Welder/Fabricator supports and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and strives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility. The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for the set up and welding of parts according to blueprint or schematic requirements. The Welder will also assist with operation, assembly and other warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with MIG
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious
• Basic math skills
• Understanding of devices such as micrometers, calipers, straightedges and other various measuring tools
