Job summary

Olympic Steel is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to contribute to safety, quality and efficiency in production. You will set up and weld parts per blueprint or schematic requirements and assist with operations, assembly and other warehouse duties as needed.

Ideal candidates have MIG welding experience (2+ years), can read blueprints, are mechanically inclined, and have basic math skills with measuring tools like micrometers and calipers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of MIG welding experience
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious
• Basic math skills
• Understanding of devices such as micrometers, calipers, straightedges and other measuring tools

The Welder/Fabricator supports and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and strives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility. The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for the set up and welding of parts according to blueprint or schematic requirements. The Welder will also assist with operation, assembly and other warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with MIG
