Job summary

Olympic Steel, Inc. in Kenton, OH, seeks a Welder/Fabricator to join our production team. You will set up and weld parts per blueprints or schematics, contributing to safety, quality, and efficiency on the shop floor.

You will also assist with operations, assembly, and other warehouse duties as needed, bringing mechanical aptitude and attention to detail to every task and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of MIG welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Safety and quality conscious with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Welder/Fabricator supports and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and strives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility. The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for the set up and welding of parts according to blueprint or schematic requirements. The Welder will also assist with operation, assembly and other warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with MIG
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious
• Basic math skills
• Understanding of devices such as micrometers, calipers, straightedges and other various measuring tools
