Job Description

LaForce is seeking a skilled Welder to join our Metal Frame Production team. In this role, you will fabricate and assemble hollow metal door frames using MIG welding and various hand and power tools. We value reliability, safety, and precision in our team members.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:30am - 3:00pm; Friday, 6:30am - 12:30pm

Pay: $19/hr

Responsibilities:

• Weld, fit, and assemble light-gauge sheet metal frames based on shop drawings and work orders.
• Grind and prepare welds to meet quality and finish standards.
• Operate MIG welding equipment, plasma cutters, grinders, saws, and other fabrication tools.
• Transport materials using forklifts and carts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Experience in MIG welding (GMAW) and metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and production instructions.
• Proficiency with hand tools and material handling.
• Willingness to obtain forklift certification (training provided).
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the day.
• Lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working with tools and equipment on your feet all day.
