Job summary

Olympic Steel, Inc. is seeking a Welder/Fabricator in Buford, Arkansas, to set up and weld parts according to blueprints and schematics. You will also assist with operation, assembly and other warehouse duties as needed, contributing to safety, quality and efficiency goals.

The role requires MIG, TIG and flux core welding experience where possible, and the ability to read drawings with a mechanically inclined, production-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Able to read/interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Welding to set up and join parts per specs.
• Safety and quality conscious with basic math skills.

Job Description

The Welder/Fabricator supports and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and strives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility. The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for the set up and welding of parts according to blueprint or schematic requirements. The Welder will also assist with operation, assembly and other warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Stainless and carbon steel as well as aluminum
• MIG, TIG and flux core experience preferred
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious
• Basic math skills
• Understanding of devices such as micrometers, calipers, straightedges and other various measuring tools
