Job summary

Olympic Steel is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to support continuous improvement and safety, quality, and efficiency. You will set up and weld parts per blueprints, with additional duties in operation, assembly and warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualified candidates should handle stainless, carbon steel and aluminum, with MIG/TIG/flux core experience preferred, and be comfortable reading schematics and using precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

• Stainless steel, carbon steel and aluminum materials experience.
• MIG, TIG and flux core welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious.
• Basic math skills and understanding of measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Set up and weld parts according to blueprint or schematic requirements.
• Assist with operation, assembly and other warehouse duties as needed.

Job Description

The Welder/Fabricator supports and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and strives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility. The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for the set up and welding of parts according to blueprint or schematic requirements. The Welder will also assist with operation, assembly and other warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Stainless and carbon steel as well as aluminum
• MIG, TIG and flux core experience preferred
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious
• Basic math skills
• Understanding of devices such as micrometers, calipers, straightedges and other various measuring tools
