Job summary

Olympic Steel in Buford, GA is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to support continuous improvement, safety, quality and efficiency. You will set up and weld parts per blueprints or schematics and assist with operation, assembly and other warehouse duties as needed.

The ideal candidate reads blueprints, works with MIG, TIG and flux core welding, and is comfortable using micrometers, calipers and straightedges. A mechanically inclined, safety- and quality-conscious team player will thrive in our

Job Description

The Welder/Fabricator supports and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and strives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency in all areas of responsibility. The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for the set up and welding of parts according to blueprint or schematic requirements. The Welder will also assist with operation, assembly and other warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Stainless and carbon steel as well as aluminum
• MIG, TIG and flux core experience preferred
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints and schematics
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, and safety and quality conscious
• Basic math skills
• Understanding of devices such as micrometers, calipers, straightedges and other various measuring tools
