Structural Steel MIG Welder

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel MIG Welder to join a growing fabrication team. This role is responsible for welding and fitting structural steel components according to blueprints and welding specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong MIG welding experience, the ability to read weld symbols, and experience working with large structural steel assemblies.

Location:

Cocoa, FL

Pay:

$24-32 / hour

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on structural steel components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Fit and assemble structural steel according to engineering specifications.
• Use MIG wire-feed welding equipment to complete high-quality welds.
• Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
• Assist with unloading and moving materials using overhead cranes and rigging equipment.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent MIG welding experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent structural steel welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Experience fitting structural steel components from fabrication drawings.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

Preferred:

• Experience operating overhead cranes and rigging equipment.
• Knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes and procedures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Titusville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
