Job summary

Aerotek in Appleton, WI is seeking an experienced Welder for our metal fabrication shop. You will MIG weld mild steel and TIG weld aluminum and stainless, read blueprints and weld symbols, and inspect welds for quality. Material handling may involve forklifts and cranes.

This is a permanent, on-site role with 1st shift options (4x10s or 5x8s) and a 2nd shift also available. Pay is $20.00–$30.00/hr, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and PTO.

Qualifications

• 1 year of welding experience or technical welding degree required.
• 1-2+ years of MIG OR TIG welding experience preferred.
• Experience working from blueprints and weld symbols.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Welder

Do you have welding experience? Are you looking for competitive pay and a great schedule?

Join our team in an established metal fabrication shop to complete MIG and TIG welding on a variety of projects for heavy equipment, vehicle frameworks, and components for the agricultural industry. The majority of work is mild-steel, but occasionally projects may include aluminum and stainless steel materials. No previous TIG welding experience required, we are willing to train on the job. Job duties include the following:

• Work from blueprints and weld symbols to complete weldments accurately.
• MIG weld mild steel frameworks for various projects
• TIG weld aluminum and stainless steel materials.
• Use forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials
• Grind and inspect finished welds

Shift: 1st Shift - 4X10's or 5X8's schedule available

Essential Skills:

• 1 year of welding experience or technical welding degree required
• 1-2+ years of MIG OR TIG welding experience preferred

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
