Job summary

Anchor Fabrication LLC in La Vergne, TN is seeking a skilled Welder for 1st shift, 6:00 am–2:30 pm, with overtime as needed. You will set up MIG/TIG welding, interpret blueprints and weld symbols, and operate robotic welding cells. The role requires attention to detail, PPE compliance, and maintaining a safe, organized work area.

Experience in steel, stainless and aluminum is a plus; on-site welding tests apply. Lift up to 50 lbs; typical shop environment with noise and dust.

  • Reliable, punctual track record.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret weld symbols and read blueprints to meet spec and quality targets.
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding and operate robotic welding processes.
  • Freehand weld aluminum; work with steel, stainless, and aluminum.
  • Use a tape measure accurately and verify critical dimensions.
  • Operate a large belt sander for finishing programs.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly work area; follow all safety procedures and wear PPE.

About The Role

Picture your day starting at 6:00 am on 1st shift and wrapping up at 2:30 pm, with overtime available when production ramps up. You gear up with PPE, review blueprints, and confirm weld symbols before setting up both manual and robotic welding operations. You’ll move between MIG/TIG stations and a robot cell, then freehand-weld aluminum parts and assemblies made from steel, stainless, and aluminum. A large belt sander helps you finish surfaces to spec. Throughout the day, you keep your area organized and safe, tape measure at the ready, and quality at the forefront.

Schedule

1st shift 6 am- 2:30 pm; must be able to work overtime as needed.

Minimum Requirements
  • 1+ years of welding experience
  • Reliable, punctual track record
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing preferred
Environment & Physical Demands
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Position weld apparatus in any orientation required by the work
  • Stand for prolonged periods; frequent bending, kneeling, and stooping
  • Exposure to typical shop elements including noise, dust, odors, and chemicals

Physical weld testing on-site must be acceptable.
