Job summary

TIPCO Technology in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team. You will weld, repair, and assemble metal components and structures, reading blueprints and specs to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on welding experience, attention to detail, knowledge of MIG, TIG and stick welding, and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork across sales, warehouse, and operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; welding training preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and specs.
  • AWS certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine welding requirements.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding as required.
  • Inspect welds for strength and conformance; rework as needed.
  • Prepare materials through measuring, cutting, grinding, and cleaning.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Collaborate with sales, warehouse, operations and management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to join TIPCO. In this role, you will weld, repair, and assemble metal components and structures used in our operations, ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and productivity standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on welding experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints and specifications to produce accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine material and welding requirements
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and related tools safely and effectively
  • Perform MIG, TIG, stick, or other welding processes as required for production and repair work
  • Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, and conformance to specifications; rework as needed
  • Prepare materials by measuring, cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces for proper weld fit-up and finish
  • Follow all safety procedures, use appropriate PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional departments to ensure customer success including sales, warehouse, operations and general management
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational welding training preferred
  • Previous welding experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or fabrication environment preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and technical specifications accurately
  • Knowledge of welding techniques, materials, hand tools, and safety practices, with AWS certification a plus
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, and lift materials or equipment as needed
