Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • TIG weld stainless steel parts and aluminum components to spec.
  • Meet company quality and quantity standards for parts.
  • Collaborate with team to complete builds and fulfill PRL needs.
  • Follow leadership directions; sand and prep parts; inspect finished welds.
  • Perform welding tasks using approved processes efficiently.
  • Maintain welding area, fixtures, and related equipment.
  • Keep area clean and safe per construction site welding protocols.
  • Cut materials to required lengths and fitments.
  • Move finished welded parts to assembly area.
  • Attend meetings and provide feedback for process improvements.

Job description

Job Overview

The Welder position is dedicated to the preparation and processing of piece parts for the welding department, intermittent welding, and fabrication, as well as testing and inspecting finished welded goods. Additionally, the Welder will consolidate miscellaneous welding related tasks as well as maintain welding area to promote efficient workflow.

Duties
  • TIG welding stainless-steel performance parts such as exhaust and headers, in addition to aluminum components
  • Responsible for meeting company standards for quality and quantity of parts
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to complete builds and meet PRL needs.
  • Follow guidance from the leadership team. Sanding and prepping piece parts as needed. Inspecting all finished welded parts once build is complete.
  • Complete welding tasks using the correct process while working in an effective manner.
  • Maintain welding area and equipment such as welding fixtures, equipment storage, gas change, bandsaw, belt sander, drill press.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols related to construction site work, welding hazards, and equipment operation.
  • Cutting and processing of materials to appropriate lengths and fitments.
  • Maintaining workflow of finished goods (moving finished welded parts to assembly area).
  • Participate in meetings, follow guidance, strategize improvements, and provide feedback as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates degree from 2-year college or technical school or 3-5 years of welding experience or stable related work experience in a warehouse setting preferred
  • Ability to use measurement devices as well as read and comprehend blueprints.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Flexible with shifting responsibilities.
  • Ability to operate welding equipment as well as conduct preventative maintenance of work tools.
