Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Weld Maintenance Mechanic I for the 2nd shift. You will inspect, install, and repair production machinery, mentor junior mechanics, and troubleshoot robotics and welding systems to ensure safe, efficient operation.

The role requires hands-on experience with welding processes, robotics, and preventive maintenance. Occasional overtime may be needed to meet production deadlines and customer needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of Machine Repair experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Proficient with Microsoft Applications.
• Experience in welding, robotics, and maintenance tooling.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, and repair production machines as needed.
• Mentor Weld Maintenance Mechanics I and follow repair procedures.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues with a meter.
• Troubleshoot/repair robotics and edit programs via teach pendant.
• Maintain and repair welding equipment and systems.
• Support continuous improvement and preventive maintenance.
