Digestive Disease Consultants is seeking a polished Patient Access Specialist to join our front office team in Altamonte Springs, FL. You will be the first impression, delivering warm, professional service while ensuring efficient check-in, accurate demographics, and insurance verification.

The role involves collaborating with the billing team on patient estimates, collecting balances, scheduling appointments, and supporting front-end operations across Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary, and Oviedo

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in medical front office or patient access.
• Excellent customer service and patient communication required.
• Experience with insurance verification and patient financials preferred.
• Ability to multitask with accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to float between Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary and Oviedo locations.
• ECW and/or Phreesia experience preferred.
• Proficient in Windows and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients warmly and professionally while creating an outstanding check-in experience.
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information accurately.
• Review insurance eligibility and collaborate with billing to support accurate patient estimates.
• Collect copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and other balances professionally.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments with accuracy and efficiency.
• Float to phone operations to support scheduling and inbound call management.
• Route inquiries to clinical or administrative staff.
• Scan and upload documentation into the EMR accurately.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and professional front office environment.
• Assist with administrative tasks, faxes, and workflow management as assigned.
