Description of Primary Duties
Welcome Desk Attendants serve as the “face” of the Campus Recreation Department and the Foster Recreation Center ( FRC ). As a customer service provider, Welcome Desk Attendants greet patrons and guests, monitor turnstiles, sell memberships, lockers and other services. Attendants also provide information on Campus Recreation programming to meet the fitness, recreation, and wellness needs of our patrons.
Required Qualifications
Must meet all University requirements to work on campus
Experience in customer service is preferred, but not required
Great personality, friendly and reliable, willing to help
Demonstrate an ability to work well with diverse groups of people
Proficient verbal communication skills
Demonstrate strong initiative to learn policy and membership software
Required Certifications
Additional Qualifications
Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and during University breaks and holidays.
Available during summer, first consideration
*Mandatory all-staff training prior to classes starting in Fall
