Job summary

Ymca Of Metro North is hiring a Welcome Center Associate for Saugus YMCA with mid-day shifts. You will greet members, handle inquiries, promote programs, and assist with financial transactions while maintaining confidentiality and a welcoming environment.

Requirements include 18+ years old, basic math and computer skills, flexibility for weekend shifts, and CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain within 60 days. Salary ranges $16–$19 per hour in Saugus, MA.

Responsibilities

• Greets all members, staff and volunteers and acknowledges them.
• Learns and uses members' names regularly.
• Promotes the YMCA mission in interactions.
• Provides basic knowledge of programs and refers to staff.
• Involves members in other YMCA activities and volunteer opportunities.
• Connects members to others with similar interests.
• Offers financial assistance when needed.
• Maintains a balanced cash till and completes shift closeouts.
• Monitors facility use and maintains proper documentation.
• Mantains confidentiality of member, staff and volunteer information.
• Stays attentive and proactive with tasks.
• Seeks to understand others' viewpoints and remains calm.
• Responds to emergencies per YMCA policy.
