Job summary

YMCA of Central Massachusetts, Greendale Family Branch, seeks a part-time Welcome Center associate to greet members, answer questions about programs and memberships, and help create a friendly, inclusive environment.

This role focuses on member service at the front desk, processing enrollments and cancellations, and supporting staff with administrative tasks. Shifts are Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30am to 2:30pm, with pay of $15.00 per hour and access to YMCA benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• At least one year of customer service experience preferred.
• Able to use and navigate on a computer and computer related systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet all YMCA members coming in when scanning their membership passes and create a friendly atmosphere at the branch.
• Provide accurate information about programs, YMCA memberships and policies to members and potential members.
• Promote membership at the YMCA and present new member materials to establish and engage potential new members including the sales of new membership enrollments.
• Responsible for entering member cancellations and follow up with phone calls as needed.
• Assist with any administrative tasks, member requests and follow front desk procedures.
• Follow all guidelines and policies according to the YMCA of Central Massachusetts including following emergency procedures when necessary.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Do you like working with people with a focus of making their visit the most enjoyable possible? If so, the Greendale Family Branch YMCA is looking for you to join our Welcome Center.

The candidate must have excellent interpersonal/ human relations skills, including the ability to establish and maintain a positive work environment with staff, volunteers, and members and the ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner.

Essential Functions

• Greet all YMCA members coming in when scanning their membership passes & create a friendly atmosphere at the branch
