Job summary

Lonza Vacaville is seeking a Supervisor for Weigh and Kitting to lead a direct-report team on site, ensuring safe, compliant and cost-effective operations. You will coach staff, plan workforce needs, and drive process quality through SOPs and GMP documentation.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration to meet delivery targets and support manufacturing excellence at a facility with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life/physical Sciences, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in a cGMP, regulated or bioprocessing environment with direct people management.
• Thorough understanding of large-scale cGMP warehouse and manufacturing settings.
• Practical experience with SAP and supply chain or logistics processes.
• Proven ability in goal setting, driving results, staff development and collaborative decisions.
• Strong communication, leadership and cross-functional team-building capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Foster an engaging, safe, and high‑performing work environment for Weigh and Kitting staff while meeting delivery, compliance, and cost targets.
• Lead, coach, develop, and mentor direct reports with effective workforce planning.
• Oversee SOP creation and maintenance for high process quality.
• Supervise GMP documentation generation and strict GMP compliance in the work area.
• Direct GMP material handling and kitting processes to meet service levels.
• Lead audits, inspections, and cross-functional teams as the operational representative.
• Drive continuous improvement aligned with site and global goals.
