Job summary

Anew Behavioral Health is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to provide non-clinical, recovery-oriented support to individuals in our program. This role uses lived experience and specialized training to assist residents in their recovery journey, offering emotional support, mentorship, and advocacy within a structured, supportive environment.

Applicants must have an active Peer Support Certification and be able to attend in person regularly.

Qualifications

• Certification required.
• Experience with recovery programs preferred.
• Familiarity with documentation and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in recovery with emotional support and advocacy.
• Meet with mental health professionals to support treatment planning.
• Provide coaching and support to help clients attend appointments.
• Report concerns about health and safety to care team.
• Maintain accurate records of client encounters and progress.
• Write recovery reviews to update client files and document outcomes.
• Maintain client confidentiality at all times.
