Job summary

Anew Behavioral Health is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to provide non-clinical, recovery-oriented support to individuals in our program. This role utilizes lived experience to offer emotional support, mentorship, and advocacy within a structured environment.

Applicants must have active Peer Support Certification; regular in-person attendance is required. This is a 1099 contractor position with a focus on recovery and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with a history of substance use and/or mental health conditions.
• Meet with mental health professionals to establish treatment plans.
• Provide coaching and emotional support for clients.
• Help clients manage appointments with mental health professionals.
• Report concerns about health and safety to the care team.
• Keep accurate records of client encounters.
• Write recovery reviews to update client files.
• Maintain client confidentiality.
