Job summary

Anew Behavioral Health LLC is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to provide non-clinical, recovery-oriented support to residents in our program. Applicants must use lived experience and complete specialized training to mentor and advocate in a positive, empowering environment.

Regular in-person attendance is required. Certification is mandatory; UDS and background checks are conducted. This is a 1099 contractor position with weekly pay and flexible scheduling options.

Qualifications

• Certification required for Peer Support Specialist role.
• Background check (UDS) required.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with histories of substance use and/or mental health conditions.
• Meet with mental health professionals to establish treatment plans.
• Provide coaching and emotional support for clients.
• Help clients manage appointments with mental health professionals.
• Report concerns about health and safety to care team.
• Maintain accurate records of client encounters.
• Write recovery reviews to update client files.
• Maintain client confidentiality.
