Job summary

Anew Behavioral Health, Ohio LLC is hiring a Peer Support Specialist to provide non-clinical, recovery-focused support to program residents. This in-person role emphasizes mentorship, emotional support, and advocacy to promote lasting sobriety and personal growth.

Applicants must have active Peer Support Certification. Regular attendance on-site is required. This is a 1099 contractor position with weekly pay and flexible scheduling options to support a balanced workflow.

Qualifications

• Active Peer Support Certification is required.
• UDS testing may be required per program protocol.
• Background check (BCI) will be reviewed; a Fair Chance employer.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with recovery by providing emotional support and mentorship.
• Meet with mental health professionals to support treatment plans.
• Document client encounters and maintain confidential records.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating appointments with care team.
• Provide coaching and crisis de-escalation as needed.
• Write recovery reports to update client files.
• Support a recovery-friendly, inclusive environment.
