Job summary

Anew Behavioral Health inXenia, Ohio seeks a Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery-oriented non-clinical support to residents. This role leverages lived experience and training to mentor and advocate for clients in a supportive environment.

Applicants must hold active Peer Support Certification and be available for regular in-person attendance. The role is a 1099 contractor position with weekly pay and flexible scheduling options in a community-based program.

Qualifications

• Active Peer Support Certification required for hire.
• Must pass UDS testing.
• BCI background check; fair chance employer.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with history of substance use and/or mental health conditions.
• Meet with mental health professionals to establish treatment plans.
• Provide coaching and emotional support for clients.
• Help clients manage appointments with mental health professionals.
• Report concerns about health and safety to care team.
• Maintain accurate client encounter records.
• Write recovery reviews to update client files.
• Maintain client confidentiality.
