Job summary
Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Withdrawal Management team. This Saturdays-only role provides nursing care and withdrawal support for adults with substance use disorders, conducting assessments, monitoring withdrawal, and coordinating care in a trauma-informed, team-based setting.
The position emphasizes safety, evidence-based withdrawal care, and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams to support clients on their recovery
Qualifications
- Current RN license in good standing in Minnesota.
- CPR certification or ability to obtain during onboarding.
- Minimum three years of nursing experience.
- Experience with withdrawal assessment tools CIWA-Ar and COWS.
- Knowledge of ASAM criteria and level-of-care concepts.
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems and coordination with care teams.
- Commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Complete clinical screenings, nursing triage assessments, and admission evaluations.
- Monitor withdrawal symptoms and coordinate care with the treatment team.
- Review medications, manage administration, and document in the EHR.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, safety, and regulatory standards.
