Job summary

MN Adult & Teen Challenge is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Registered Nurse to join our Withdrawal Management team in Minneapolis, MN. This on-site, part-time role covers shifts as needed, focusing on nursing assessments, withdrawal monitoring, and medication management within a multidisciplinary treatment environment.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification during onboarding and prior to providing direct care.
• Minimum three years of nursing experience.
• Experience conducting nursing assessments, health screenings, medication reconciliation, and clinical triage.
• Knowledge of withdrawal assessment tools such as CIWA-Ar and COWS.
• Knowledge of ASAM Criteria and level-of-care determination principles.

Responsibilities

• Complete clinical screenings, nursing triage assessments, and admission evaluations.
• Assess medical stability, withdrawal risk, substance use history, mental health concerns, and admission appropriateness.
• Identify clients requiring higher level of care and coordinate referrals.
• Complete nursing intake assessments, health screenings, medication reconciliation, and health history reviews.
• Communicate significant clinical findings and recommendations to the treatment team.
• Monitor withdrawal symptoms, health status, and progress; implement interventions and orders.
