Job summary

Green Acres Healthcare in Mayfield, KY is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who are compassionate and reliable to join our team on full-time day shifts and weekends. CNA duties include assisting residents with bathing, feeding, dressing, and mobility, taking and recording vital signs, and promptly reporting changes to the nurse.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a Long Term Care setting is highly preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Take and record resident vital signs using proper body mechanics.
• Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to a nurse.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, peers and supervisors.
• Report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA's are responsible for the following:

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs lifting, moving and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.
• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to a nurse management. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.
• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA Requirements

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a Long Term Care setting is highly preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA
