Job summary

Owentonhealth in Kentucky is looking for dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) for Weekend Warrior shifts. This role involves attending to the individual needs of residents, taking vital signs, and assisting nursing staff. Candidates with at least one year of experience in a Long Term Care setting and a valid CNA certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a Long Term Care setting (highly preferred).
• Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Take and record patient vital signs and lift, move, and transport residents, using proper body mechanics.
• Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to nurse management; ask appropriate questions to clarify situations.
• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Assist the nurse with various duties as directed.
