Cardinal Health, Inc. in Illinois seeks a Supervisor, Warehouse Operations to lead a team of inbound/outbound associates on a day or night shift, ensuring safe, efficient pick, pack, and ship processes.

You will coach staff, monitor metrics, drive continuous improvement, manage staffing and safety, and collaborate with HR and cross-functional teams to sustain Cardinal Health's on-time, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 4 years related experience preferred.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience leading a team.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables and spreadsheets).
• Experience working within ERP systems SAP or Manhattan.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages a team of approx.. warehouse associates to achieve timely distribution and receipt of products.
• Monitors site productivity standards and hold associates accountable to daily, weekly, monthly metrics; provide timely feedback and initiate corrective action when needed.
• Adheres to budgetary guidelines, and work to meet Distribution Center objectives and operational goals while maintaining standards pertaining to quality and inventory.
• Responsible for continuous improvement projects and initiatives (e.g. Gemba walks, Kaizen workshops, takt boards).
• Performs daily scheduling of the work force to ensure proper staffing to select, replenish, restock, locate and ship merchandise.
• Coordinates maintenance of equipment, guiding preventive maintenance and coordinating repairs.
• Actively engages in employee development, including training, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals.
• Majority of work day is spent on the floor while balancing administrative duties.
• Collaborates with cross functional teams at all levels within the organization, specifically HR on a daily basis.
• Interviews and makes hiring decisions for lead and associate level roles.
• Maintains general responsibility for disciplinary process in the area of counseling, warnings; ensure productive climate.
• Prepares ad hoc reports using Excel or other necessary programs.
• Responsible for accurate timekeeping, attendance/PTO records and scheduling.”
• Holds staff accountable for safe work practices and compliance with OSHA, DEA, FDA and local authorities.
• Assists with EHS audits, Job Safety Observations, and safety incident management.
