Job summary

Monarch Healthcare Management seeks a dedicated Therapeutic Recreation Aide to support daily programming for residents, enhancing quality of life. You will lead group and individual activities, maintain calendars, and assist with transportation and events while collaborating with the Therapeutic Recreation Director and volunteers.

Responsibilities include documenting participation, coordinating care, and upholding HIPAA, infection control, safety, and QAPI standards to protect residents' rights

Qualifications

• Demonstrates a genuine desire to work with seniors, including those with illnesses and disabilities, while advocating for their well-being.
• Strong ability to connect with residents, families, and staff through empathy, compassion, and active listening.
• Background in healthcare settings, such as skilled nursing or assisted living, is beneficial.
• Skilled in multitasking, adapting to change, working in diverse and fast-paced environments, and communicating clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily therapeutic programming aligned with each resident's individualized plan of care and enhance quality of life.
• Facilitate group and one-on-one activities tailored to residents’ interests and psychosocial needs.
• Maintain activity calendars and adjust schedules based on census changes.
• Assist with transporting and supporting residents during in-facility and off-site events; help volunteers contribute meaningful programming.
• Document participation and progress; contribute to care coordination.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA, infection control standards, safety protocols, and QAPI requirements.
