Indiana University Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a weekend option position working Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00am to 7:30pm, with one additional weekday shift. The role supports the surgical team before, during, and after procedures, ensuring the presence and correct arrangement of instruments, supplies, and sterile fields.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Certified Surgical Technologist per NBSTSA within four months of hire.
Basic Life Support certification required.
Ability to resource advanced technology in the OR.
Accumulate 15 continuing education units annually as required by state law.
Knowledge of surgical procedures to anticipate surgeon needs within 12 months of employment.
Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment.
Adherence to sterile field policies and regulations.

Responsabilités

Prepare operating room with instruments and equipment prior to procedures.
Assist surgeon in the operating room as allowed by standards.
Assist in turnover of the OR and proper handling of specimens and supplies.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff as part of the surgical team.
