Job summary

IU Health's Regional Academic Health Center in Bloomington seeks a Surgical Technologist for a full-time OR role. Four 10-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, with weekends and holidays required. You will support surgeons, ensure sterile technique, and manage instruments and supplies.

Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED, NBSTSA CST within four months, and BLS, plus ongoing CEU commitments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification as Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) within four months of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to access and utilize advanced surgical technology.
• Must complete 15 continuing education units annually as mandated.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room prior to procedures.
• Assist the surgeon and team during operations.
• Maintain sterile field and proper handling of instruments.
• Assist in turnover and proper processing of specimens and supplies.
