Frye Regional Medical Center in North Carolina seeks a Weekend Surgical Technologist & OR Coordinator to support Surgical Services, acting as an additional Technologist for procedures while coordinating scheduling, case booking, and communications.

This role ensures weekend operations run smoothly, maintains sterility, prepares case carts, manages inventory, and collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia, nursing and ancillary teams to optimize case flow and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification for Surgical Technology with NBSTSA.
• BLS certification required.
• Competent in at least 3 specialty areas.

Responsibilities

• Serve as additional Surgical Technologist in assigned ORs.
• Prepare sterile fields and pass instruments during procedures.
• Coordinate scheduling and verify case details.
• Manage call triage and frontline communication for Surgical Services.
• Prepare case carts and ensure supplies and implants are available.
• Support weekend operating room activities and improve efficiency.
