Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support perioperative care in a multi-hospital system in central North Carolina. The role requires coordination with physicians and staff to ensure patient safety and efficient procedures within a busy surgical suite.

Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program with BCLS certification. The candidate must be prepared for shift work, including weekends and holidays, and will operate in a setting that emphasizes safety

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technology.
• Certification in surgical technology within 12 months of program completion.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Access and mobility within the facility, including lifting patients and equipment.
• Demonstrates manual dexterity, hearing acuity and verbal ability; communicates effectively with staff.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and shift rotations as needed.
• Exposure to blood/body fluids and hazardous materials; contributes to safety culture.
