Job summary

IVIRMA Global is seeking a Weekend Surgical Center Nurse to support our Wayne, PA center. The role covers Saturdays and Sundays from 6am to 2:30pm, handling pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing duties to ensure high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have a nursing degree, ACLS/BLS certification, and at least 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with proficiency in IV therapy and computer applications. Join a team focused on safe, efficient perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• BLS/ACLS certification required.
• 2+ years of clinical nursing experience.
• Proficient in nursing assessment and IV therapy.
• Proficient with common computer programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional support to the patient during pre-operative, operative and post-operative stages.
• Coordinate movement of the surgical procedures to ensure quality patient care.
• Perform pre-operative assessment and document per policy.
• Assist in room setup, anticipate needs, perform counts, and transport to recovery.
• Receive patient from the PACU with relevant history and procedure details.
• Assess patient on transfer from the post-anesthesia recovery room and document.
• Monitor for condition changes and inform physician.
• Review discharge instructions with patient and/or family.
• Assist in readiness for discharge ensuring continuity of nursing care.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
