Job summary

IVIRMA Global in Marlton, NJ is seeking a Per-Diem Surgical Center Nurse (RN) to join our team on weekends. The role covers pre-operative, surgical and post-operative care, with emphasis on patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include pre-op assessments, aiding the surgical team, PACU handoffs, discharge planning and maintaining infection control standards. Requires active RN license, 2+ years of clinical nursing and BLS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• BLS/ACLS – required.
• 2+ years clinical nursing experience - required.

Responsibilities

• Provides emotional support to the patient during pre-operative, operative and post-operative stages.
• Performs pre-operative and post-operative activities to coordinate procedures and ensure quality care.
• Pre-Operative - Completes patient pre-operative assessment and documents accordingly.
• Surgical - Assists in setting up cases, anticipates needs, performs counts, transports patient, hands off to recovery team.
• PACU - Receives patient from OR with report and documents history and procedure.
• Monitors patient condition and reports changes to physician.
• Reviews discharge instructions with patient/family and answers questions.
• Assists in discharge readiness for continuity of nursing care.
• Follows infection control and safety precautions.
