Job summary

IVI RMA North America in Basking Ridge, NJ seeks a Part-Time Surgical Center Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality care across pre-operative, surgical and post-operative phases. The role requires 2+ years of clinical nursing experience and training to perform all functions needed during patient care.

The schedule is 3 days per week, including 2 weekend days per month and 2 holidays per year. The ideal candidate will be proficient in nursing assessment, intravenous therapy, and comfortable

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional support to patients through pre-, intra-, and post-operative stages.
• Coordinate pre-operative and post-operative nursing activities to ensure quality care.
• Assist in room setup, supplies, counts, and hand-offs with the surgical team.
• Deliver discharge instructions and answers questions for patients and families.
• Prepare patients for discharge ensuring continuity of nursing care.
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols during duties.
