Job summary

Journey in Saint Matthews, KY is seeking a compassionate Weekend Supervisor RN to oversee nursing services on your assigned unit, ensuring quality care and regulatory compliance in a supportive, collaborative environment. You will lead staffing, coordinate resident assessments, manage supplies, and address grievances with timely reporting to the Director of Nursing.

A nursing degree, 2+ years of direct care in geriatric settings, and at least 1 year of nursing management plus CPR certification

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2 years of direct care experience in long-term, restorative, or geriatric settings as an RN.
• At least 1 year of nursing management experience and a current CPR certification.
• Meets all state licensing requirements with no disciplinary actions.

Responsibilities

• Unit Management: Plan, organize, and direct nursing services while ensuring compliance with regulations and facility policies.
• Leadership and Development: Make staffing assignments, encourage professional development, and review documentation for quality and accuracy.
• Resident Care Coordination: Oversee resident assessments, ensure adequate supplies, and address grievances with timely reporting to the Director of Nursing.
