Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Leader to manage a busy SPD in a hospital setting. You will supervise staff, coordinate daily assignments, and ensure safe, efficient operation of sterilization, decontamination, and supply flow.

The role requires several years in sterile processing with leadership experience, collaboration with OR and other departments, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Evening shifts and on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• 4 years of Sterile processing and/or Operating Room experience.
• 2 years Lead or Managerial experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly and write legibly.

Responsibilities

• Select, orientate, develop, evaluate and maintain staff.
• Oversee daily work assignments and overtime approvals.
• Monitor SPD operations for efficiency and quality.
• Update and create department job descriptions as needed.
• Coordinate with Clinical Engineering and vendors for equipment.
