Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician for the SPD to assemble and decontaminate instruments and manage instrument inventory for the operating room. You will ensure proper cleaning, proper assembly, and functional performance of equipment in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role includes night shifts (11PM-7:30AM) with rotational weekends and holidays, full-time status, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• 2-3 years SPD experience preferred.
• Experience with sterilization equipment and warehouse/Inventory practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assembles general and specialty instrument sets with correct items.
• Ensures instruments are clean, properly assembled, and ready for sterilization.
• Monitors instrument performance and identifies repair needs.
• Acts as a liaison between SPD and other departments for issue resolution.
• Oversees inventory management and supplies for the operating room.
