Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Manager to lead a busy SPD, ensuring safe decontamination, processing and delivery of surgical instruments. You will supervise staff, coordinate schedules, and monitor quality and productivity.

You will work with Clinical Engineering and vendors and implement process improvements. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with several years of sterile processing or OR experience plus leadership experience; weekend and shift

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
4 years of Sterile Processing and/or Operating Room experience plus 2 years Lead or Managerial experience.
Basic computer competency.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a highly motivated Sterile Processing staff.
Assist in interviewing candidates and selecting top performers.
Coordinate daily assignments to match workflow.
Monitor staff performance and enforce department policies.
Communicate with Clinical Engineering and outside vendors for supplies and repairs.
Ensure proper instrument and supply readiness for cases.
Document actions and track workflow using CSIQ and management boards.
