Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a results-driven Sterile Processing Lead/Manager to oversee a critical SPD operation in Charlotte. The role requires extensive SPD/OR experience, with at least two years in a lead or managerial capacity, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities include staff leadership, scheduling, policy updates, and interdepartmental collaboration to ensure safe, efficient processing and delivery of supplies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 4 years of Sterile Processing and/or Operating Room experience plus 2 years lead/managerial experience.
• Certified Central Service Technician preferred; strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Select, orientate, develop, evaluate and maintain a highly motivated staff.
• Participate in interviewing candidates and recommend the most appropriate candidates.
• Coordinate activities of Sterile Processing staff and identify growth opportunities.
• Set up daily work assignments and approve overtime to cover shortages.
• Monitor staff activities to ensure efficient department operation.
• Assist in updating and creating department job descriptions and policies.
• Communicate issues to manager and escalate problems as needed.
• Oversee inventory, scheduling, quality control, and safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with OR, Clinical Engineering, and other departments to resolve issues.
