Job summary

AMFM Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join our team at Mission Prep Healthcare, private adolescent residential treatment facilities. You will nourish clients with well-balanced meals under our Head Chef, in a supportive and therapeutic setting, located in Bonsall/Fallbrook, CA. The role requires weekend availability and travel to facilities nearby.

Compensation is $24-$28 per hour for part-time seasonal work. Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 10:00am-6:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Food Handler's Certification (ServSafe Manager Certification preferred).
• Possess a valid driver's license with auto insurance requirements: 3 continuous years of driving experience, 21 years of age or older, less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and no more than 1 major violation in the last 3 years.
• Ability to pass background checks as required by the company, state, or federal guidelines.
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 40 pounds).
• Experience preparing meals in a residential or healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving lunch and dinner daily for clients and staff.
• Coordinating meal delivery across multiple residential sites.
• Guiding breakfast and weekend meal service procedures.
• Maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation standards.
• Adapting meals to accommodate individual dietary restrictions.
• Managing food inventory, purchasing, and expense reconciliation.
• Creating weekly menus that are both nutritious and satisfying.
• Keeping a respectful and positive attitude with clients and staff.
• Ensuring compliance with all county, state, and ServSafe standards.
