Job summary

AMFM Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our Mission Prep Healthcare team in Bonsall, California. You will prepare daily meals, support kitchen operations, and ensure all foods meet dietary and safety standards for adolescents in residential care.

The role is part-time and seasonal, with weekend shifts Saturday and Sunday, 10:00am–6:30pm, at $24–$28 per hour. Travel to nearby facilities may be required as part of meal delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with ability to be insured; 4 years driving, 21+, limited violations.
• Ability to pass background checks as required by policy.
• Stand, sit, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds (40 pounds occasionally).
• Experience in residential or healthcare food service preferred.
• ServSafe Manager Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving lunch and dinner daily for clients and staff.
• Coordinating meal delivery across multiple residential sites.
• Guiding breakfast and weekend meal service procedures.
• Maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation standards.
• Adapting meals to accommodate individual dietary restrictions.
• Managing food inventory, purchasing, and expense reconciliation.
• Creating weekly menus that are both nutritious and satisfying.
• Keeping a respectful and positive attitude with clients and staff.
• Ensuring compliance with all county, state, and ServSafe standards.
